Katie has dedicated over fifteen years inspiring dancers of all ages with her fresh and inspiring approach to dance. She is professionally trained in ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop technique and choreography.
Katie’s goal is to inspire her dancers confidence and to nurture their talent.
She learned the art of dance from her mother Beth Lottino who has been a professional studio owner and choreographer for over 30 years. Beth is also her mentor.
Katie began her love for dance the moment she hit the stage at age 3 and quickly became a company competitive dancer.
She has studied Hip-hop at Hubbard street/Lou Conte in Chicago, Millennium Dance studio and Debbie Reynolds in Los Angeles. She has attended multiple chorographer training seminars to further her education as a teacher and mentor. She currently is the general manager of the BDA Dance. She is the director of the national award winning BDA Dance Company and the founder of "KinderCrew". This program features talented kindergartners that are learning the foundation of dance.
Her philosophy is to be better than you were yesterday and to find happiness in movement. Katie continues the momentum her mother installed at BDA by staying true to the studio’s original roots.
She resides in Joliet with her husband Ryan and their two tiny dancers Kyla and Kenzie.
